Tour #19: Deland / Daytona Beach Train Tour
|Wednesday, June 24, 7:30 AM – 7:00 PM||Tour Price: $90|
This tour is designed to complement the Deland / Daytona Beach Regional Tour. Both tour groups will meet in Daytona Beach to mingle & travel back to the hotel together on either bus.
Clark and Ilene Vegazo’s Home – Deland - Visit the home of Clark & Ilene Vegazo, who for over 30 years have collected primarily Postwar, but also Prewar Lionel, with a dabbling of American Flyer, Marx, HO, etc. There are over 300 SETS on display, with hundreds more still in their set boxes. Accessories abound, like an operating original Lionel D-224 Display layout, along with unusual items like the 1965 styrofoam Lionel boat. While Clark has a large separate building for his trains, Ilene’s HO to Prewar Lionel trains are displayed in every room in the house! The Vegazos have arranged for a vintage Ice Cream Truck to provide special treats! Some pictures of Clark and Ilene's trains are below.
Additional layout tours are listed below the pictures of Clark's collection.
