2021 — 67th TCA National Convention

This is the theme for TCA's delayed 67th National Convention. Despite the many challenges faced by the Western Division's Convention Committee planning for this event has continued and the new dates will be August 18-22, 2021. The location is Burbank, California and the host division has planned some exciting activities for those willing to venture west and attend. The format for this year will be a bit different from previous conventions, as the duration has been shortened a bit and a few of the traditional convention agenda items will not take place.

The host hotel will be the Los Angeles Marriott Burbank Airport Hotel. This is a 4-star rated hotel located directly across the street from the Burbank International Airport. The hotel is providing a special room rate of $149 plus tax per night for TCA members

This Marriott has 488 modern rooms located in two towers. Hotel amenities include an outdoor dining experience and lounge as well as an on premises, full service Daily Grill restaurant, 24 hour room service, two swimming pools a fitness center, a free airport shuttle and pet friendly rooms The quoted TCA member rate is good for a standard room with either 2 double beds or a single king-size bed featuring Marriott Revive bedding These oversize rooms feature 32” flat screen TV's, mini refrigerators ergonomic chairs and advanced plug & play workstations

For those who wish to spend more time in Southern California, the hotel will offer this same nightly room rate to TCA members 3 days prior and 3 days after the Convention. Other larger rooms are available for an upgrade price. They also have ADA compliant rooms. Convention attendees will need to book their hotel reservations directly with the hotel via a special web link, included on the web pages and at the end of the registration process. This is a Marriott chain hotel and anyone who is a member of their Bonvoy loyalty club will receive Bonvoy points and credits for their stay so long as they provide their Bonvoy membership number at time of registration. The hotel can provide cribs upon request at no additional charge. The hotel can also supply rollaway beds for $10 per night, but this can only be in King rooms (no double rooms as that would be a violation according to the fire marshal). This hotel has ample RV parking for $100 per night. A free shuttle service to and from the nearby Metrolink Train Station on request by our members.

The Marriott hotel has a 15,000-square-foot convention facility and meeting center on the premises that will be utilized for the Wednesday night Welcome Party, the Friday and Saturday Train Marketplace (trading hall and public displays), and the Saturday evening banquet.

The parking rates will be $18 for overnight, but free during the day (7 AM until roughly 11PM).

The host hotel is located in Burbank CA, conveniently near many famous local attractions including Universal Studios Hollywood, Warner Bros Studios, NBC Television Studios, the North Hollywood Arts District, the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Grauman's Chinese Theater, Griffith Park Observatory, and the Los Angeles Zoo. This part of Los Angeles is an ideal base for exploring and discovering a multitude of Southern California's attractions, shopping and dining establishments The Burbank International Airport is serviced by Alaska Airlines, Delta Connection, United Airlines, JetBlue Airlines and Southwest Airlines.
