65th National TCA Convention

TINPLATE RESTORATION CONTEST

  • The Rio Grande Chapter is having a Restoration Contest in conjunction with the 65th TCA Convention.

  • Entries must be checked in by NOON – 12 PM on Tuesday, June 25th. NO SHIPMENTS will be accepted. All entrees must be hand delivered, in person, at the Convention.

    Judging will take place Tuesday Afternoon. After judging all Entries will be safely displayed for the rest of the Convention, along with all ribbons awarded by the judges.

  • SPECIAL RULES

    1. All entries must be restored completely by the person entering the item.
    2. Tinplate Only
    3. Photo of how the piece looked before restoration, if available.
    4. Entries will be judged on the quality and accuracy of the restoration.
    5. Entries will be accepted in the following categories:

      1. Engines (Steam, Electric, Diesel)
      2. Passenger Cars
      3. Freight Cars
      4. Cabooses
      5. Accessories
