2019 -- 65th TCA National Convention

Located at an elevation thirty-two feet higher than Denver, Colorado, we would like to welcome you to the other “Mile High City”, Albuquerque, New Mexico, for the 2019 TCA National Convention. This will be the first time TCA has visited New Mexico and we will showcase the southwest and our unique mixture of Spanish culture and Native American history. The convention will be based one short block from Old Town Albuquerque, founded in 1706, at the Hotel Albuquerque. All convention activities including the Train Marketplace will be held within this beautiful facility with rich Spanish influences and southwestern charm.

Tours will feature a mixture of New Mexico’s historic past including trips to Santa Fe and the Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railroad, the number #1 Scenic Ride as voted on by USA Today readers. If you dare, plan to take a ride on America’s longest aerial tram in the United States and the third longest in the world, Sandia Peak Tramway, to 10,335' and a view you will never forget. There will also be tours to sites such as Los Alamos Laboratories and the Nuclear Science Museum that highlight the role New Mexico had and continues to play in the research of atomic energy. From tours featuring the rich history of native peoples in the Rio Grande Valley and surrounding areas, the scientific communities Very Large Array Radio Telescope composed of twenty-seven 85' antennas, to the Fred Harvey House Museum adjacent to the BNSF’s main crew change and refueling depot in Belen, we have a wide variety of tours for every interest.

Plan to join us for the week of June 22nd to the 30th of June 2019 and mark your calendars now. Our desire is to give you the true New Mexico experience and at a pace you will enjoy.
